Mission: Cure Cancer

I'm after help again (aren't I always?) - as I've mentioned before we're producing a game to raise money for Cancer Research UK and part of that game is going to involve missions. Now then, how much to write without giving the game away...?

Well we want to:
  • Appeal to as many people as possible
  • Subvert some of the traditional limitations of ARGs while retaining the mystery and collaboration that makes them great
  • Raise money directly for a great cause
  • Have high production values
  • Outperform the perceived limitations of a modest budget
And more than that, we would like to get you involved too! We need volunteers to design little bits of the game for us that we're currently referring to as 'missions'. The reason we need volunteers is because we can't pay you any money (we can set your name in lights) and because there are going to be an awful lot of these little bits of game. Exciting huh?!

So if you've ever dreamed of making puzzles, or want to see a group of players jumping through your fun and perfectly designed hoops then let me know. E-mail volunteersSPLATlaw37.com and I'll send you the Top Secret Mission Brief.

The team had our first in the flesh meeting this weekend (at the Sense Loft, swanky, central and practical with integrated fitness encouraging stairs, very kindly supplied by Raj and Phillipp, thanks fellas and I think I might have accidentally stolen a green marker pen) and it was very exciting indeed :)

Here are those who there when this photo was taken

From the l-r, f-b we have Chris Warren (Techy Genius), Shane Rynhart (Wordsmith), Tyler Martin (Eventful), Marc McGinley (Mr Flash); and on the back row, Me (Me), Juliette White (Techy Genius), Izzy Martin (Eventful), David Thair (Albert R. Broccoli), and Adrian Hon (Advisor and Guru). Tyler having two heads, Juliette being mostly obscured and my leering over the sofa are all testament to my photographic skills. For this game my job is to not take photos.

So what did we talk about then? Well, here's a hint so you can Choose your Own MeetingTM:

I thought I'd enjoy flip charts a lot more than I did.
